With the growing popularity of MP3 players, in car CD players are more affordable than ever. Although they are still adequate for music listening, car audio cd players are no longer cutting-edge technology. As such, you can get them for a fraction of what they cost just a few years ago. If you have been doing without, you will be amazed at the difference that one can make.
I drive an old junker, and never fix anything in it that is not broken. When one of my friends suggested that I get an in car CD player, I thought that he was being ridiculous. Why would I pay money for in car CD players when I had the radio available? It just didn’t make sense. Sure, with the radio I couldn’t choose exactly the music that I wanted when I wanted to, but I’ve never had that option so I couldn’t miss it.
When I saw how cheap in car CD players were, however, I decided what the heck. I went out and bought a JVC car CD player right away. It was much easier to install than I thought. Basically, all cars that do not come with in car CD players come with a deck where you can plug one in. All you have to do is connect a few cables, screw in a few screws in, and you are ready. Anyone with even the most rudimentary electrical experience could do it.
I don’t know how I did without an in car CD player for so long. It’s great to be able to choose your music! I have even been thinking about upgrading my other audio equipment. Having in car CD players is great, but I would enjoy it even more if my speakers weren’t blown. Listening to high-quality digital music on speakers that buzz and hiss with every beat can get kind of annoying!
In my opinion, in car CD players are even better than MP3 players. Think about it. Everyone wants an MP3 player or an Apple iPod. People rip them off all the time. Back in the day, in car CD players were like that. People would break into your car just to steal your car CD audio player or your radio. Now that iPods are around, however, people don’t do that anymore. They leave the in car CD players alone. The way I see it, it’s better to have something that’s a little out of date than something that will get stolen right away!
